Belle's DOB: March 20, 1867 in Cherokee, Iowa, the youngest of six children born to John Cooley, Jr. and Caroline Lamp. 1880 Federal census finds Belle living in Silver Dale, Cowley County, Kansas, with her step-father, Joseph Whipple, mother, Caroline (Lamp, Cooley) Whipple, brothers Felix and Charles Cooley, sister Nettie and step brothers, Barton and John B Whipple. Joseph Whipple and Felix Cooley are farmers. 1900 Federal census finds Belle living in Richland Township, Pratt County, Kansas, with her husband, Thomas E Wilson, and their children, Phelix Leotis, Francis Elijah, Sarah Elizabeth, Thomas Carlos, and Opal Genevieve Wilson. Thomas Wilson is farming. Belle's DOD: April 14, 1901 in Cullison, Pratt County, Kansas. According to her granddaughter, she died in childbirth. I'm hoping to find record of Thomas and Belle's marriage. Any help is greatly appreciated! (They are my great grandparents.)
