They have records of everyone buried there from at least the early 1900's and maybe the late 1800's. They will be happy to help you. Calvin Baker was likely buried in Riverview Cemetery but there is another cemetery north of the city. If you don't find him there, be sure to look in Winfield, 12 miles north of Ark City. It's possible that he could have been buried in one of the cemeteries there. Richard Ross Dubuque, IA ______________________________ > ATTACHMENT part 3 message/rfc822 Date: Thu, 5 Dec 2002 19:26:04 EST From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: [KSCowley] Cowley County Today I have not been in Cowley County to research in a long time. I was wondering if anyone who lives there or researches there could help me out. I wanted to buy one of the cemetery books that the county used to have for sale. I had one but it was lost in a move. Do you know where they are now? Also, where is the best collection of genealogical material in the county? I know that there used to be a genealogical library at the Arkansas City Cherokee Museum. Is it still there? Any help at all would be appreciated.
