My step-great grandfather, George Franklin Gray, b abt 1855, Washington DC; m1 Regina Hetrick abt 1879; m2 Emmaline Elizabeth (Green) Casebolt abt 1899, Burden KS; d 29 Sept 1929, Sheridan Twp, Cowley, KS. I know very little of Geo. Gray before 1900 and do not know if he had any other relatives in the area. > Does anyone have access to an index for the Kansas State Census for 1885 or > 1895. The Cherokee Strip Land Rush Museum in Ark(ansas) City has an exceptional genealogical collection for local events. Maybe someone there could help you, as well as inquiring at the library. I know the Winfield Library has the 1875 census and an index, and last I looked, the catalog was online -- http://www.wpl.org/ . I do not have a current e-address for the Ark City Museum. If you find any evidence of a connection, I will be happy to share Godspeed, Bill Strickland Oregon City, OR
