Fred Mann, lived in Winfield in the early 1950s. James F. Pickens, a car salesman in Arkansas City in the late 1920's and early 1930's. Phillip A. Dautschman, (1886-1936), buried in Highland cemetery at Winfield. Wendell A. Sparling, lived in Winfield from 1927 to 1931. Gerald L. Sparling, born at Winfield in 1929. Glen M. Breed, lived at Winfield for a short period sometime between 1901 and 1911. Gerald Cheek, lived in Winfield in the early 1930s. James E. Cantrell (1913-1934), buried in Highland cemetery at Winfield. And the following men who were all living at Arkansas City in the 1920s and 1930s: Andrew "Cokie" Fuller Russell D. Hill Roy Humes Joe Hutchinson Lewis Irvin Ira McIntire Forrest O'Bannon Roy Rhinehart George Roberts Jimmy Snyder Lonnie Rose A. R. Bobs H. Cowan R. F. Dutton Ted Hill There was an automoble racetrack located " One and a half miles west of Arkansas City on Madison" from 1929 through 1931 and maybe even later than that. It went by two different names: "Arkansas City Speedway" and "West Madison Speedway Park". Does anyone know anything more about his facility including a more accurate location? Thank you for your assistance, Bob Lawrence [email protected]
