Sunday at her home, 1017 South Sixth street. She was born Oct. 10, 1879, and came to Arkansas City from Rock, Kas. Surviving relatives include one son, W. F. Daniels, Paw Paw, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Vera Walters [sic] of Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Ed aTnton [sic] of Ark.; one cousin, George D. Wilkerson of El Dorado, who had been visiting here to care for her since July. Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending word from out-of-town relatives. The Jess Rindt Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. --- Arkansas City Daily Traveler Wednesday, October 2, 1947 Last Rites Held For Mrs. Elsie Hoober Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Hoober were conducted at 10 a. m. in the chapel of the Jess Rindt mortuary with the Rev. Harold Neal officiating. Clifton Howard was soloist and Mrs. Everett Long was organist. Casket bearers included Jess Barnes, J. W. Hammond, W. L. Murphy, Charles Whitehead, A. Gribble and Oscar Reeves. Interment was in Riverview cemetery.
