As a foster child, you may or may not know of your ancestory. I am doing research on the Farrar family and would like to offer the following information for your consideration. Also, if I can be of any help to you, please let me know. Benjamin T, Peter J, John N and James Farrar and two sisters, Scisley and William Atkinson, and Frances and Noah Leaverton left Illinois sometime between 1840 & 1860. Noah died and was buried in the Pleasant View cem. in Oskaloosa Ks. in 1901. Any sittings of the others may lead me to Benjamin T. who , I believe is my ggggrandfather, Thomas Farrar . These folks are the offspring's of William Franklin Farrar & Elizabeth Brechen or Brekeen of Macoupin county, IL. William is of the Farrar Island Farrar's, through N.C. to TN, then Edgar county IL and finally settled in Macoupin county. Several family members settled permanently in the Macoupin, Montgomery and surrounding counties of IL.
