C.) and possibly Brothers John and Milton Ogden supposedly arrive in Arkansas City, Kansas between 1900 and before Spring of 1905. George and two sons lived in City were he worked at a lumber yard. Someting happened with George W. Ogden that resulted in the Children John Walter and Nelson to be removed from his home and care that resulted in the children being placed in a orphanage in Topeka, Kansas. We have found no documents to substansuate these facts. We are still looking for possibility of Geroge Ogdens death in Cowley County, Ks. Any help in this query would be appreciated. Notes for JOHN WALTER OGDEN: John Walter Ogden AKA Walter John Coates by adoption or name change sometime after 1900 to 1905 after he was taken to Wallace County, Kansas along with his Brother Nelson D. C. Ogden and placed in Foster Home of John Walter Coates and Mary Ellen Duncan Coates, in Wallace TWP, Wallace County Kansas per 1905 & 1910 Census for that County. Documentation of name change has not been found as yet (Nov 2001).
