My interest is in James Clark. He died in 1913 five miles east of Dexter KS He was digging a well and succumed to gas fumes. His widow was Amanda (Stark) Clark (1869-1962) of Dexter KS The two participated in the 1883 Cherokee Strip Run, moved back to Dexter area in 1900. Childrens's names : Rollo Ray Dervin Edith m. William L. Simmons 1911 Ethel Ruby Lawrence Velma My hope is to find an obit or a census record which would give some clue as to where James Clark, my great maternal grandfather, was from.
