There is actually 2 Mt Vernon Cemetery's in Cowley County, 1 is 4 miles East of Atlanta 2 south and 1/2 east which was mentioned, then there is another one North and West of Winfield. The one you are probably looking for is the one North West of Winfield, as I have researched all the Mt Vernon in Atlanta and do not see that name listed. Hope this helps.
