Trying to find information: An obit tin Wilson County, KS comes from the historical society in Fredonia. It reads as follows: The body of Thos. Damewood who was drowned in the Arkansas River near Wichita last fall was recovered about Jan. 1, 1899, ten miles west of Winfield. He had gone with a party of buffalo hunters from Neodesha last fall. He was a son of J. H. Damewood in Cowley Co. this was in the Buffalo Advocate 3-3-1899 - - 9-26-1902 Aug. 11, 1899
