Hi Paula, No need to be embarrassed. However, it is always best to do a check on a virus before warning against it. There are many hoax sites out there but if you simply use Google.com to search something out, you'll find it right away. It's okay Marla. We've all been there at least once, and probably will again. <smile> You are among friends. You have a Happy New Year, too. DO NOT delete that file, your Windows needs it. THIS IS an OLD hoax... You definately did stck your neck out too far. There are several places to ck for validity of virii, including Symantec.com and McAfee. BTW, if you have already deleted that file, you can get it back from Microsoft.

Surnames: Mason, Pontius, Pontious, Liberman Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Xl.2ADI/152 Message Board Post: Have found in old issues of the Winfield Courier many references to Fannie, Hattie, Mary and Theo Pontious. Fannie taught Grade 2, District #55 in Richland, Prairie Grove, Rock Creek and Winfield and attended the Normal each year from 1877 through at least 1882. Hattie was also a teacher, teaching Grade C and 3, District 22 at Winfield, at Richland and was secretary of the "literary at 108" (Richland). Mary also attended and received her teaching certificate at the 8/9/1877 Normal, taught District 20, Winfield, and attended the Floral Grange as well as teaching at the Floral school. Mr. Pontious (maybe Theo, but Theo could be a brother to Hattie, Fannie and Mary) was apparently a member of the school board, because the indicate that he and Mr. Vanorsdol were "looking after the interests of school district 108." I'm looking for any information on any of the Pontiouses (may also be spelled Pontius) including any offspring. My great-grandmother (Anna Liberman Mason) was Mary Jane Pontius' daughter, so I'm hoping Mary and Mary Jane are the same person. Any assistance at all would be a great help! Hello All, I'm seeking information on the William Senseney family who apparently ventured down to Ninnescah, Cowley County, Kansas from Iowa after William was discharged from the Union Army in 1865. William for certain appears in the 1880 census in Ninnescah Township but by 1886 he and his family had relocated to Barry County, Missouri. I believe he was a member of GAR while in Cowley County, as well. In the 1880 census, William appears with wife Priscilla and sons Lot H. and Isaac K., and by the 1900 Census, William had remarried, so I am uncertain whether Priscilla died in Cowley County or in Barry County, Missouri. I have not been able to access the 1870 Census for Cowley County, but I can place William at the earliest there by an article that appears in the Traveler of March 22, 1876. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it as I have had quite a hard time locating this family. Thank you in advance.
I found an obit for Ezra Lewis Brooks who d 28 Jul 1954 in the Oklahoma City newspaper recently. He md Anna Dungey in Winfield and moved to OKC in 1905. Contact me if you need more info and a copy of his obit. Ralph Biddle

Surnames: ROBINSON, MORGAN, ALDERSON, REDFORD Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Xl.2ADI/150 Message Board Post: Interested in hearing from anyone with connections to this line. J.W. Robinson came to Cowley Co from Kosciusko Co, IN, where his son Albert Casper Robinson had been born. His second wife, Mary Alzine Alderson, is shown living with him in the 1880 census, but his son Albert is not. James William and Mary A. Robinson are shown living in the household of Jasper Summerville as servant and servant's wife in 1880. Where was his 4 year old son? Albert's mother had died young, presumably before they left Indiana. Her name was Ellen Ralston or Rolston. Albert married Fanny Bell Morgan from Hoosier, KS. I have some additional info, but not lots - am willing to share what I have, and would be interested in anything else. There have been a number of contradictions and mysteries for me with this family. Pam Jennings King

I am seeking a look up for birth records for my great great aunt Emmaline (Emma) J. Lyons born March 24th, 1872 according her certificate of death. Though, in the 1880, 1900, 1910 and 1920 census her birth year was 1873 and said she was born in Kansas or Missouri. Her parents were Alfred C. Lyons and Harriett (Hattie) Lyons. Alfred came from Ohio. Any information would be greatly appreciated! - Kathy Lyons [email protected]
I'm a new subscriber. My name is John Phillip Field, the grandson of Peer L. Greenwalt, of Cowley County, Kansas, town of Winfield -- I happened upon info scanned from Cowley County Registers on the BlueSky website and in a section organized by Mary Ann Wortman - (thank you Mary Ann!) It was nice to get some first time historical information about the Greenwalts as far back to Andrew Greenwalt of Ohio, husband of Mary Stump < grin - this is fun!> I wanted to discover how to append Ms. Wortman's entry about Peer Greenwalt, son of James Austin and Florella Peer of Edgar County, Illinois -- with a continuance of the kinship tree in case anyone was interested. Not sure how to approach this. So I'll do a little appending now in case I'm lucky and this IS the correct forum... ... Peer Greenwalt indeed married "Noma" (versus scanned "Nona") Holt. They did in fact end up in San Diego California and Peer did die in 1974. His wife Noma died in 1998 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (I am getting nowhere on tracing the roots of Noma and her sister Oma (fun names?) Holt.... Anyone that could help would be awesome) Peer and Noma had two children, Noma and Phillip and lived in Kansas, Idaho and California most of their lives. Noma and Phillip now (2001) live in Las Vegas, Nevada. Phillip had only adopted children so the Peer Greenwalt lineage officially ends with Phillip. Noma L. (aka Bunny) Greenwalt had 2 children, by her marriage to John E. Field of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (his name was changed from "Junior Karam" as a child); and, 1 child by her 2nd Husband, Donald Wilson of Flint, Michigan. Her children by John Field were John Phillip Field, born in Fairbanks, Alaska and Sharon LaVerne Field, born in Chula Vista, California. Noma's child by Donald Wilson was Donald Scott Wilson, born in Chula Vista, California. (I have information about the branch that follows the Karam/Field family and the Wilson family if anyone ever needs to develop their kinship chart) John P. Field has two children. 1 daughter, Shawn Erin Field, with Lindsay Cain Copping of Rhode Island and 1 son, Ian Scott Field, with Victoria Marie Murphy of Albuquerque, New Mexico. John Field lives in San Diego California, Shawn Field lives in Atlanta Georgia and Ian Field is presently in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sharon L. (Field) Young, had 1 son, John Young, and they both live in San Marcos, California. And to finish the trail from my perspective, Shawn Field, daughter of John Field and Victoria Murphy, has two children with Rob Geist of Atlanta, Georgia - Son Austin and daughter Mackenzie. Well.... I have no idea where that all will end up but I blind copied my relatives so at least they'll get a kick out of this (my family's oral and written history skills, frankly, are very poor). Thanks for offering the forum! Regards, John P. Field San Diego, California
