In the 1880 Census is found a Peter H. Clark living in Maple, Cowley Co., Kansas. Living with he and his wife (Polly) and son (Peter) is a 16 year old granddaughter, Laura Hayden who was born in Illinois. I have information on Peter H. Clark and his daughter, Malinda Clark Chenoweth - who was also in Cowley County. I am trying to find out information about the other children of Peter H. Laura's mother was, undoubtedly, also a Clark but I have nothing more than what was in that Census. I am also interested in what became of Peter H.'s 25 year old son, Peter. I have contacted descendants of Malinda who still live in Udall, but they do not seem to know anything more of Malinda's siblings. Would appreciate any help that would lead to more information. Thanks. CJ

It says"BellePlaine Public Schools-Term 1900-1901" Inside is inscribed the name James Redmon B.P.K. and 6.0 whatever that means. I will relinquish this to any kinsman of Jas. Redmons' who contacts me Bill Tuttle [email protected] I am now researching surnames for the following families: Tuttle, Clark, Moncrief, Wymore, Reynolds, Teater, Caldwell, Lattin, Booth , Brazier and Warren.
My mother's maiden name is Boone and her family at one time lived in Winfield, Ka. I am trying to find information on my great grandmother Lavina Provine. She was married to Ulysess Grant Boone and had three children by him before her death. I do not know when or where she was born or who her parents are. She died around 1910 in Winfield. I'm not sure of the year and I do not have any dates. I have looked at microfilm of the Winfield Courier newspaper in the years 1909- 1911 and found nothing about her death. I may have missed it since I was in a bit of a hurry to get through it before I had to send it back and I had to try and look at the whole paper as they did not have an obit. column . I have also tryed to get her death certificate, but was told that they did not start keeping records until 1911 and so they wouldn't even try to look . Does anyone out there have any information on Lavina Provine ? If so please let me know. Ulysess Grant Boone is a decendant of Moses and H! annah Boone both related to Daniel Boone . I have pictures of Ulysess and Lavina and thier children. I will be happy to share any information I have as well as old family pictures. Thanks Nancy Salisbury p.s. Also looking for information on the Tankersley family who lived in Elk City. At least that is where one of my old photos was taken.

I am trying to find the burial site of my husbands gruncle who was a patient at the Winfield State Hospital and died in 1952. Does anyone have the cemetery records for the hospital besides the state SRS? Or was there a specific mortuary that handled the burials for the hospital? I'm not even sure that he was buried there, only that he was buried in Winfield. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you Nancy
