Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Xl.2ADI/34.40.39.1 Message Board Post: I'm from the same Dale line. I've only tracked them back to Boone County, Indiana, so I found your information very interesting. My line moved to Arkansas in the mid to late 1800s. I don't know how long they lived in Indiana before the move. My gr gr grandfather was Squire Dale (wasn't sure when or where he was born, so glad to see it in your info). The only children that I knew that Squire had were Matthew, Sandford, Julie, Cynthia and my gr grandfather, John W. Dale, born 1833. John W. married Mary Catherine McInally in 1860. Mary Catherine and John W.'s children were James, Elizabeth, Emily J., William, Ora Boone, Harley, Cora and my grandfather, Rolly, born 1865. Rolly Burse Dale married Arizona Drucilla Johnson (whose mother was a Boatwright from Tennessee) in 1885. They met while they were both working in the railroad tie camps - "Zonie" was only 13. They had Bonnie, Mary, Andrew, Florence, and my father, Oliver Burse Dale, born 1913. Oliver B. married Wanda J. Sm! ith from Marionville, MO, in 1936, and they had Wallace Ray (dec'd), Thomas Hall born 1939, Judy Ann born 1941, and me, Rebecca Kay born 1948. That's probably enough for right now. Check with the Dales in your area and see if any of these people ring a bell with them. What I especially want to know is when my Dale line came over from Ireland or England and if they were processed at Ellis Island. I would appreciate any information you have access to. Thanks so much. Rebecca Dale [email protected] Tulsa, OK

I have some information on his family (he had apparently 8 children) which was sent to my father about 1970 by one of Gilbert's great grandsons. I have conflicting reports on Gilbert's father's name - our family records and the FamilySearch Pedigree Resource File show his name as Henry, while Gilbert's great grandson shows his name as Joseph. If information on Gilbert's descendents is of interest to you let me know. -- John H. Rowland

    3. Hello. My Great-Grandfather was W.F. Walker, the Mayor of Arkansas City, KS in 1928. I have little to no information about his predecessors and have exhausted family contacts. If you have any information about W.F. Walker and his family history, and could pass that along to me, I'd be grateful. Or, if you know of a good place to look for his genealogy (besides the ArkCity Public Library, which I am already checking), I'd like to know that also. I live in St. Louis, MO and can't easily get to Ark. City, KS. Thank you for your help! Marci J. Prather [email protected] __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
