There was one "Bowling" female from Latham KS (Butler County) that married a "Watson" fella from Cambridge (Cowley) in '42 or '43. Didn't record the "particulars" but can on my next trip to the museum if she is "relative" for you. (Cambridge is an area that I'm fairly familiar with but don't recall either of these surnames from there) Sorry...... The first one is for an Ernestine V. Bowling she was first married to a James Pierce the marriage took place sometime between April 1940 and September 1941. I don't know what happened to her first husband but Ernestine was back in Winfield, Kansas by 1946. I found her in the 1946 directory listed as Mrs Ernestine B. Pierce. She was next married to a John L. Roy and that marriage took place sometime after 1946 and before 1955. Could anybody do a look up for me ? If you are still doing this could you look up in there to see if there are obituaries for two people I am researching. First one is James Pierce if he had an obituary it would appear sometime around 1941 to 1950. His wifes name was Ernestine Pierce. The second one is Robert Schubert if he had one it would also appear sometime around 1941 to 1950. His wife's name was Eugenia Schubert. Both of these men were married to my grandfathers sisters just before the start of WW Two by the end of the War Eugenia was married to someone else and Ernestine was married to her second husband not long afterwards. So I am not sure what happened to them. Thank You, George Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. This is the cemetery for the Winfield State Hospital. I could not locate a dc for Delbert L Thomas in Kansas. I believe this family is listed twice in the 1930 census, once in Kansas, and once in Texas. The 1930 census in Texas list that Delbert, age 3, Dennis and Elizabeth, were all born in Texas, but Margaret was born in Kansas, age 0. The 1930 census in Kansas, list that Margaret, age 0, and Delbert, age 2, were born in Kansas, and parents born in Texas. Maybe they are not the same family? In 1940, parents are listed in Kansas with son James, age 5 and Margaret, age 10. Delbert is in the State Home in Kansas, at age 11. Do you know when Dennis and Elizabeth Thomas died, and where they may be buried? That might shed some light on where Delbert might be buried. Do you know Elizabeth`s maiden name? It is possible that the parents buried him in a family plot. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Edith MCCONNELL which was taken at the Nassebrock Studio in St. Joseph, Missouri. Edith is noted as 18 years old at the time the photograph was taken. In addition to her name and age, someone has also written "E. A. MCCONNELL, Ark City, Kansas" on the back of the photograph as well, likely the person to whom the photograph was given. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following in census records: 1900 census of St. Joseph, MO: Edward MCCONNELL, age 44, born Jun 1856, married 22 years, born IN, parents born IN/England, a Butcher Mirrian MCCONNELL, wife, age 41, born Mar 1859, married 22 years, 6 children/5 living, born MO, parents born IN/England Arch G. MCCONNELL, son, age 20, born Oct 1879, born MO, a Butcher Edith L. MCCONNELL, dau, age 15, born Jul 1884, born MO, at School Bessie H. MCCONNELL, dau, age 10, born May 1890, born MO, at School James S. MCCONNELL, son, age 6, born Aug 1893, born MO, at School Edward MCCONNELL, son, age 3, born Mar 1896, born MO 1910 census of Pittsburg, KS: Edgar A. MCCONNELL, age 54, married 33 years, born IN, parents birth unknown, a Packer Miriane MCCONNELL, wife, age 49, married 33 years, 6 children/2 living, born MO, parents born IN/MO Edith L. MCCONNELL, dau, age 24 I am hoping to locate someone from this MCCONNELL Family so that the photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that there was only a one line death notice printed in 2010 for Mrs. Cassity (or that's all I could find). Could not find even that for Mr. Cassity. The good news is that the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home in Arkansas City was in charge of Marie's funeral. You may contact them at 620-442-3210. Their mailing address is: 101 East Kansas, Arkansas City, KS 67005 I suspect that if you will contact them they will be able to provide the information that you are looking for. Additionally, you can view a photo of their tombstone at Findagrave.com, as well as another photo of Marie and Leonard together.
