I am interested in Franz and Mary POSLEY THEIS family. In 1849 Franz THEISS bought land in Washington Co. In 1857 he bought land in Ozaukee Co. They moved to Waldwick, Iowa Co., Wisconsin about 1865. In 1871 the family left for Cowley Co., Kansas. The family story is that they came from Belgium. We haven’t been able to find Franz and Mary’s parents or siblings. I would appreciate any suggestions or help you can give me. teacups3@yahoo.com
Henry H. HANSEN was born October 30, 1831 in Denmark. If I believed in space aliens, I would think he was one. I have hit a brick wall in trying to find his parents and siblings. The first record of him is 24 Dec. 1872 when he signed Osage Trust & Diminished Reserve Land Entries. He signed as Henry in one spot and Henrig in another. Joseph BORTSCH (BERSTCH) and William Henry PERDU signed that they knew him. David BRIGHT, who settled next to Henry, is in the family stories. Henry married Katherine THEIS on 21 Aug 1874 in Silverdale, Cowley Co, Kansas. I would appreciate any help solving this mystery. Please contact me at teacups3@yahoo.com

I would like information about the Pentecostal church that was in Geuda Springs. My 94 old year mother remembers her grandfather, George Bigger, going there. I can narrow the time frame down to between 1925 and1937 (from mom’s birth and George’s death). The Pentecostal Church could have also been there before and after this time. Please contact me at teacups3@yahoo.com
I think my 94 year old mother may be the last living great grandchild of Adam BIGGER. She keeps asking me to find who Adam BIGGER’s parents were. We have followed many leads but can’t prove who Adam’s parents are. Adam Bigger was born 16 Dec 1816 in Ohio He married Christiana HOLTON on 25 Dec 1838 in Mercer Co., OH. Their children are: Rebecca J. was born 1840 in Ohio. She married Tom BRICKER. Rachel Annie was born 1842 in Ohio. She married Hiram CARLTON. Nancy C. was born in 1849 in Ohio. Her husbands were Robert MCLANGHLIN and David CARLTON. George Maynard was born 1852 in Miami Co., Ohio. He married Nancy Elizabeth WELCH. Frances Susan was born Sept. 1854. She married Samuel AXLEY. Alice was born 1855. She married William BAHRUTH. Luella Bigger was born about 1859 in OH. Charles McFermon was born 1861 in St. Mary's, Auglaize Co., OH. He married Caledonia JAMES. A few of the places that Adam lived: 1840 - Beaver Creek Twp., Greene Co. OH 1850– Piqua, Washington Twp., Miami Co., OH 1860 – Brown Twp. Miami Co. OH 1870 – Maroa Twp., Macon Co., IL 1890 – Cass Twp. Greene Co., MO 28 Aug 1899 – died near Geuda Springs, KS We would appreciate any information you can give us to solve this brick wall. Your post set me to pokin' around to see what I could find that might help. Using resources at Ancestry, com & family search.org, I think I've figured out the "Rader to Mabry" connection. Actually it appears to be a Mabry to Maupin connection. You can check this stuff in Pickaway County OH but your assumption that Allie Roszella was Sarah's mother seems spot on as she appears to be a younger sister of the Sarah Maupin that married William A. Rader in Pickaway County in 1874. Both seem to belong to Shidrick Maupin as Sarah(of the right age) is in the 1860 census and Ella (in 1870 at age 0) and Rosella in 1880 at 10. So it was actually your Sarah Mabry's aunt (and namesake?) that she went to live with after Allie's death in 1895. By the 1885 state census, both W.A, & Sarah Rader and Charles Mabry Family including Sarah's seeming father Joel Edward M! abry are in Rock Creek township. Allie Rosella's "arrival" time (probably after the death of her parent[s])is not apparent but there's likely a marraige record around this area some place(I'll do some checking). Check and verify if it's what it seems to me. Hope it helps........Darwin Newton (denewton@sktc.net) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Her earliest records show her living with her Aunt and Uncle, William and Sarah J Rader. There are a number of Mabry family members in Cowley and Sedgwick County during the era who I believe may be family. I suspect her mother may be Allie Roszella Mabry, d. 1895, as her daughter also was named a variation of this name, but have been unable to connect either to the other Mabry surnames in the area during the same time period. Sarah married Oscar Davis (b. 1897) and had two children, Rose V and Lloyd "Bud" Adrian Davis. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
