I don't know if this is the correct Alfred but he and family are listed in the 1870 Kansas census, Clay county, Sherman township. There is a son Macey so perhaps it is the one you want. Also have cemetery information--Coultice, A., 14 Mar 1832-21 Dec 1878; S. J., 25 Oct 1836-22 Jan 1879. They as well as some other family members are buried in the Sherman Cemetery in Clay County.
