Dear List Members, Lets have a Roll Call this weekend. It is a good way for those on smaller lists to get to know each other and to catch up with the surnames of our new members. Please post your Kansas surnames, and the counties they were from. A time period would be nice also. Also remember to change the subject line suggest the topic of your posting. My grandfather WILLIAM HENRY SANDERS (b. 1868), one of seven children born in Clay County to HENRY SANDERS and SUSANNA ANGELINA SIMPSON SANDERS. ANGELINA's father JOSEPH SIMPSON also homesteaded in Clay County. Some Sanders buried in Greenwood Cemetery at C. Center, some in Gatesville Cemetery, near Broughton (Rosevale). MAXWELL SANDERS' firstborn daughter ANN married WILLIAM AKIN SHERBERT of this county. Had 15 children, 14 lived. Still many descendents of this branch live in Clay County. I am specifically looking for information concerning the seventh child of my g.grandparents, a boy named JOY SANDERS, b. 1891, d. circa 1978. JOY is likewise buried in Gatesville Cemetery. Would be very interested in corresponding with any of his descendents (or anyone else listed or related herein for that matter). =) I have considerable information I can share about the SANDERS family running back to England in the late 1500's. Larry Irwin MILLER born Newberry, Lycoming county, PA, died April, 1973, in Kansas City, Clay county, MO, says SSDI. Would like date and place. Place of burial? His son, a sometime resident of Kansas City and Leavenworth, Kansas, also of Jacksonville, Florida, Eugene Franklin MILLER, born 1919, died 16 September 1999, last residence, Jacksonville, according to SSDI. However the state of Florida says not this state in that year. Was buried or cremated? Any good or inept guesses welcome. Anyone with knowledge of date, place, and year, please write. Gene is my father and Larry my grandfather. I never met either of them and would really appreciate a little contact with them if only in dates and places. Thanks for help, rumor, suggestions, Ashley > Kathleen Burnett wrote on 9/29/01 11:00 AM: > > > Dear List Members, > > > > Lets have a Roll Call this weekend.
