Hello listers: I'm new to your site - I just discovered three ancestors in the same family that emigrated from Sweden. The first one was Anders Olsson (b.1845) emigrated in 1869; The second one was his brother Erik Olsson (b. 1857) emigrated in 1880; and their third brother was Hans Olsson (b. 1850) who emigrated in 1884. I have found who I think they are on the Swedish Emigration CD - and they all list Clay Centre as their destination point. My questions are these: During this time range was there a likely place the Swedes would have settled? Was there any religous movement during that time that might account for their choosing this particular place? Are there mining operations in that area at that time? And most of all what type of records could I access there in your area that might give me some clues to finding the whereabouts of these brothers? Thanking anyone for their time extended in responding to these questions! - Kris Johnson-Burrill Michigan
