I have Gustaf Ferdinand Carlson married to his first wife Lottie Erickson. Came to Kansas around 1869. Gustave Ferdinand's parents: father, Gustave Ferdinand Karlson, mother., Elizabeth Marie, (Lisa Maji). Gustave (father) maybe born 1830, his mother maybe Martha? This last taken from 1870 census. I don't have a lot of information, most of this from Gustaf daughter, Bess, who wrote this when she was 95 years old.

He lived there all his life I believe. His first wife Mandy C ? must have died between 1880 and 1882 after his first 2 children Edward and Flora May were born. He then married Nancy Catherine Stocker in 1883 and had 8 more children. I'm interested in finding what happened to Mandy (Amanda) and what her maiden name was. George's father was James Harvey Simpson.

There are 2 Simpsons buried there, one George, can't remember the other, but think it was a family plot. I took pictures, and they didn't turn out. Next time I go back will take pictures again. It does help if you have film in the camera. I visited 2 cemeteries before discovering, there was no film. UGHHH Norma

I have loads of Worley information, not a lot of Simpson info, but I can put you in contact with someone who is also from this line, but is doing research on the Simpson. I can also forward you a picture of the elder Simpson, after Nancy died. It has been awhile since I have looked at the picture, but think it is a 4 generation picture. (The picture is from the researcher of Worley - Simpson, that I mentioned above. My address is: nickorma@southwind.net Contact me if I can help. Norma
