I am trying to establish a link between Caroline Babbitt Knowles, who is buried in Mapleton Cemetery (off Route 31) in a plot which was purchased by George Darling. Mr. Darling and his wife Kate Darling are buried next to Caroline: George 1843-1909; Kate 1855-1916. Caroline was the wife of Daniel (orig named David) Knowles, but he is buried in Independence with his parents, my gggrandparents, Caleb and Rachel Knowles). Caroline was born in Lorain, OH 1835 and died 1911. David/Daniel d 1880. Caroline Babbitt Knowles and the Darlings are buried with identical stones, engraved with a unique floral design.
