Hi everyone! My query is a little different here - but I'm at a loss to find descendants of my ancestors who resided in Bourbon Co. There simply MUST be some descendants around of the STOELK (STULK) and/or KLOCKSIEM (KLOCKSON) families who immigrated to Bourbon Co. circa 1872 - my grandmother, Maria Martha KLOCKSIEM GUNSAULLUS was born in Bourbon County, Dec. 12, 1881 - she had two brothers and a siister, Sophia, Heinz (Henry) and Fred who were all born in Germany. I have been unable to trace any descendants of this family - as a strange commentary on the fruitlessness of my search, I have found more info on this family in Germany than I have found in the U. S. Surely there must be some descendants of these siblings of my Maria Martha out there somewhere - family oral history indicates that due to anti-German sentiment, their true ancestry was hidden or at least kept secret - but I would love to hear from others who may have had German or other Eastern European-born ancestors who settled in Bourbon Co. in this time frame. Sorry to be so wordy - just on a roll tonight! Willi
