Hello List, I am looking for any information on JOEL P. JACKSON. He was living in Jasper Co., MO at the time of the civil war. When the fighting became too close, he took his family and sought refuge at FT. SCOTT, KS. I do not know if he fought or not, but he died @ 1864. After the war, the rest of the family moved back to Jasper Co., MO. His wife, Mary Secrest JACKSON remarried. She and their children are buried in MO., but I can't find what became of Joel P. JACKSON. If anyone has cemetery books, mortality schedules, history books on Bourbon Co., etc., anything that might give a clue, could you please do a lookup for me? Although here in Dallas, TX, we have an incredible library, there is unfortunately not much on Kansas. Thanks so much. Kirsten PLAINO4@aol.com
