My GGgrandparents, James M. Hagans (b. 1834) and Delilah Jane Reook or Roark (b. 1842) were married 25 May 1857 in Bourbon Co., KS. It took me years of searching to find Delilah Jane because my mother was told that her mother, Jemimah, who was the first dau of Delilah Jane and James M. Hagans, had been left on a door step so no one knew her real name. And then when I found the marriage record I couldn't read her last name! Some have even translated it as Brook. Please is there anyone who has information on this? Thanks, Peggy
