Dee, Sadie Williams was born 25 Oct. 1872 Beginning in June 1922 owned and operated a grocery store at Oak and Broadway in Ft. Scott KS for 27 years. She was married to Jesse William Riley in 1892 Ft. Scott, Bourbon Co. Jesse W. "Chick" Riley owned and operated a barber shop for 50 years at 618 East Wall St., Fort Scott, Kansas. The shop was often used as the West Third voting precinct. "Chick" consistently served as an election judge down through the years. (from Obit. Fort Scott, Tribune August 1950) Sadie always called him "Will". They lived at 203 N. Little St., Fort Scott, Kansas. I believe Sadie was from Madison Wis.
