    3. I am looking for information on: Martin B. Ridenour, his wife Nancy Jane Hawley Ridenour and his son Vitalis Ridenour. Martin was living with his son in Ft. Scott around 1898. Vitalis is said to have been a "singing evangelist". Nancy Jane died 6 Apr 1898. She is buried at Greenwood Cemetery. Her headstone is said to read "She done what she could". This is similar to the headstone of Carrie Nation which reads "Faithful to the Cause of Prohibition. She hath Done What She could". Was Ft. Scott a hot bed of Prohibition at this time? Thanks for any help Howard Hickman
