    1. [KSBOURBO-L] John Scott Death 1919??
    2. Have been seeking info on my grandfather, John Scott who lived in Ft. Scott from before 1900 until his death in Nov. 1919 (?) My dad, now 86 years old , was , as best he can remember, 7 at the time and belives he was buried in a cemetary on the south side of town (south of the town square and he believes then east) Does Ft. Scott have a town square? I contacted the state and they have no death certificate for this man. He would probably be buried next to his first wife, Roda (died in childbirth) who shows up in Ft. Scott with him in the 1900 census. By the 1910 census he was married to my grandmother, Sadie Dugan Scott, and dad was born in 1912 in Bassett, KS (anyone know where Bassett is?) but then they were again in Ft. Scott when he died. Would love to find this gravesite and hopefully some documentation on him. He came to KS from Pennsylvania sometime before 1900 and Dad says his widowed mother, name unknown, came at that time also. She may also be buried close by. Quite a mystery and it's proving a tough one to solve! Mary Strotkamp janey614@aol.com
