Whoops . . . did not intend to send Sinclair mail. Sorry. I do have some questions about US 1870 Census for Bourbon County. I have a copy on rental, and it will be at my local FHC for one month. Does anyone have an index to this? I looked for John McALEVY, but had no luck finding him. He was in the1865 KS state Census and the 1880 US in Fort Scott, so I fully expected to find him. I suspect he may be outside Ft. Scott in Fulton, but was Fulton around in 1870? Did it have a prior name? Was it Osage for awhile? Thanks for your help. I suspect my next trip to the FHC will find me paging through slowly, so If you have a request, I could keep my eyes open. If you are interested I made notes on WOOD(s) and McELROY. Chris
