    2. I just saw this on e-bay. I am not affiliated with this in any way. Just passing along FYI. _http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13705&item=6167101661& rd=1_ (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13705&item=6167101661&rd=1) These photographs are matted,(mat size 6x8) and stamped "J.H. Newby Osage City, Kans.". One photograph shows a very young, handsome O.E. Johnson and his brother (standing). The second photograph also has O.E. Johnson in it, pictured in the center, above the basketball labeled "Champ '03, 04'. I'm not sure what school it is from, it appears their shirts read ACC. Two wonderful pictures of young Kansans in the early 1900's. More pictures from the Johnson estate will be listed this week. If you have any questions, please ask!

    2. Why do these Mystery Kansas Photos come in sets of 50-ish ? - LOL Putting scans of my mystery photos on the internet has yielded the most success for me, so I recommend that for anyone who can do so. Four cousins I hadn't met before found my site and shared with me that they had copies of the same photos *with* identities. So there is hope after all! There are various websites on which you can upload your scanned pictures if you don't want to go to the trouble of maintaining your own site. 2. Additionally, you can get there from http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~tracefamilytree/locales/Kansas/ but even that shorter URL may wrap for some people (i.e. break before displaying the entire URL) due to different ways email apps process this message; and if you want to try the shortest URL I have it's http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~tracefamilytree/ which takes you to the Main Page of my site, (from there you can access the Kansas page or any of the other weird stuff I've put on the Internet...) If anyone has any links to any info about Kansas photographers, let me know and I'll add them to my photography page. I've had a lot of success finding dates and other info for some of my Mystery photos and hope the data I'm gathering will help someone else.
