    3. The Topeka Daily State Journal Tuesday June 26, 1918 Topekan Drops Dead. Alan Wakeling,111 Greenwood Avenue, Dies Suddenly in K.C. Word of the sudden death of Alan WAKELING, 111 Greenwood avenue, Kansas manager of the International Indemnity Co., an automobile insurance concern, in Kansas City, has been received here. Details of Wakeling's death, however, are lacking. Clarence B. JORDAN, a business associate, was notified only that Wakeling had "dropped dead." Wakeling came to Topeka abotu a year ago from California. Until about a week ago he maintained state headquarters for his company in Toepka and then went to Kansas City to arrange for transfer of the state offices to that place. Friends today said that Wakeling had been in poor health for some time. He is survivedby a wife and four children.
