The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday February 12, 1920 Deaths and Funerals. PENNY.--Mrs. J. L. Penny, a pioneer resident of Topeka, died early yesterday morning at her home, 304 West Eighth avenue from pneumonia. Mrs. Penny was born in Kingston, Canada and came to Topeka in 1860(1880?). She was the wife of the late J.L. Penny, proprietor of the Capital City Bottling works. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. C.S. MURRAY of Springfield, Mo.; Mrs. J.B. SANDS, Mrs. William DEINES, and Miss Josephine Penny, all of Topeka and four grand children, Miss Mary Sands, James Deines, Joseph Deines and Jack Deines, all of Topeka. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed. WRIGHT.--H.D. Wright, 41, formerly a resident of Topeka, died yesterday in Los Angeles, Cal., from influenza. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Alice Wright of Los Angeles, and two brothers, E.A. Wright of Topeka and O.A. Wright of St. Louis, Mo. RODELL.--Louise E. Rodell, the 3-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur D. Rodell, 716 Taylor street, died yesterday morning at the home of her parents. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home. Burial in Topeka cemetery.
