The Washington Register Washington County Thursday December 8, 1904 Mrs. Mary E. PURCELL was born Dec. 13, 1843, in Jefferson county, N.Y., and was married to John Purcell in 1864, who has been dead for 14 years. They removed to this county in 1869 and have since resided in Washington and Clay counties. One child was born to them but died in early life. The deceased was a sister of Mrs. A.H. FOOTE and Mrs. R. ZIMMERMAN of this city and of C.E. SWEET of Concordia, and died at the residence of A.H. Foote, Dec. 7. The remains were taken to Clay Center for burial, where her husband and daughter were buried. The bereaved have the sympathy of all.
