The La Cygne Weekly Journal Linn County Saturday May 31, 1879 We are pleased to record the marriage of Mr. James W. McCOACH and Miss Sarah HAFLEY and hope the joys of their weding state may so exceed the woes thereof that there can be no sense in drawing comparisons. The event occured Sunday, at the residence of the bride's father, Mr. Jacob Hafley, in Scott township, Rev. Judson Payne tying the connubial knot. The young folks will make thier home at La Junta, Col., where Mr. McCoach is in the employ of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad. Thanks for a fine specimen of the wedding cake.
