The Valley Falls New Era Jefferson County Thursday July 7, 1910 Died--McCoy. John McCOY, died in Franklin county, Ohio, June 19, 1910 after a lingering illness in his 87th year, on the farm on which he located in 1849. He was the father of Will H. McCOY of Valley Falls and Al McCOY now at Emporia. He served three years in the 95th Ohio regiment in the Civil war, and the record of his life as a soldier is cherished. He was married three times, and is survived by a widow, children and many grandchildren. He was of the Methodist faith since early manhood.
