    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday February 1, 1920 Dwight Hodge Dies. Former Topekan Was Active in Driving Out the Reds. Dwight F. HODGE, aged 42, a former resident of Topeka and a brother of L.C. Hodge, died Thursday night at Centralia, Wash., according to word received here. Death was due to an attack of pneumonia after a short illness. He was a graduate of Washburn college and later held the office of couny attorney at Lewiston, Idaho, two terms. He also was a member of the Elks Lodge. Mr. Hodge was an important witness in the pending case against the Red in Centralia in the Armistice Day murders. He himself was marching in the parade with the Elks at the time members of the American Legion were shot down. One of the victimes of the shooting wa sone of his intimate friends. Mr. Hodge took an active part in the capture of the Reds and took a confession from one of them. Mr. Hodge is survived by his mother, Mrs. A.E. Hodge, of Belleville; two sisters, Miss Myrtle Hodge, of Belleville and Mrs. Hattie E. GILLEY, of Portland, Ore.; and three brothers, G.D. Hodge, of Moscow, Idaho, Ralph Hodge of Wichita and L.C. Hodge of Topeka. The body will be brought to Topeka for the funeral. Burial will be in Florence, Kan.
