The Oskaloosa Times Jefferson County Friday March 2, 1900 Joy and Sorrow. Both joy and sorrow have entered the home of J.W. and Hattie VANDRUFF this week. Sunday morning February 25th, a little son came to comfort and brighten the home and many were the plans and ideals and hopes built for "little brother;" but such are life's mysteries, only a stay, and Thursday morning those hopes and ideals took their flight, with the little life that flitted away, to the God who gave it. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in their affliction. The little form was laid to away in its beauty; in the new cemetery with short services and music by Rev. and Mrs. Barcafer.
