The Washington Republican-Register Washington County Friday October 6, 1905 Married.--On the open prairie in Republic county, by Rev. R.P. West, Mr. John H. OLIVER to Miss Rhoda SPILLMAN, all of Republic county. Mr. West was returning from White Rock with a load of goods belonging to the Colony, when the parties met in the road, stood up in the wagon and Rev. West made them as near one as possible. The following are the exact words of the reverend gentleman, as reported to us by one of the parties present:"By virtue of authority vested in me by the laws of the State of Kansas, I pronounce you man and wife. You can now go over and see Mrs. West, or any place you want to. I am in a hurry. Good day, and a long life."
