The Holton Weekly Signal Jackson County Wednesday August 6, 1890 Killed on the Reserve. Dr. J.T. Scott informs us that a herder from Oklahoma, Frank QUASH, was riding after a steer on the Pottawatomie reserve last Saturday, when his horse fell, throwing him off, rolling over him, and crushing his skull. He was found unconscious and soon died. The unfortunate victim of this accident was a bright and honorable young man and his sudden death is greatly regretted.
