    3. The Valley Falls New Era Jefferson County Thursday September 15, 1910 Death of Geo. W. Hull. George Washington HULL was born in Licking county, Ohio, December 13, 1837, and after a lingering illness died at his home in Valley Falls, Sunday September 11, 1910, aged 62 years, 8 months, and 28 days. He was a veteran of the civil war, enlisting in the 31st Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Oct. 1861. He served about one year when he was discharged on account of sickness. In 1863 he reenlisted. He was captured in Virginia and wa a prisoner nine months. In the Fall of 1863 he was married to Miss Eliza Ellen LYNCH. To this union two children were born, Georgie E. McDONALD of Bolivar, Mo., and Adam I. HULL of Valley Falls. Mr. Hull came to Kansas in the spring of 1868, locating on a farm near Valley Falls in or near where he has since resided. He wife dying March 31, 1893, he was re-married Sept. 5, 1894 to Mrs. Mary VANDRUFF of Valley Falls, who survives him. The funeral was held from the home Monday afternoon, Rev. Geo B. Drake of the Congregational church officiating at the services after which the local Post of the G.A.R. conducted the services at the grave, abotu 29 of the veterans being present.
