The La Cygne Weekly Journal Linn County Saturday February 22, 1879 Mr. J.R. CAMPBELL, son of Hon. Bas. Campbell, of Scott township, this county, was married Tuesday to Miss Minnie JOHNSTON, stepdaughter of Mrs. J. JOHNSTON, of La Cygne. The ceremony was performed in this city, Rev. Noah Asher tying the nupital knot, after which Mr. Campbell and his bride left on the northward mail train for a short wedding tour. The Journal wishes the young people a long life of bliss and happiness. The Journal tenders thanks for some elegant wedding cake.
