The Thomas County Democrat Thomas County Thursday May 24, 1888 On Monday last at about eight o'clock, L.F. NICHOLS died of Typhoid fever. He had been working on the railroad grade and taking a bad cold was compelled to quit work and come into town. He was given a bed at the Commerical hotel, as he said he had a chill and wanted to lay down a short time. He grew worse and finally died as stated above. He was a young man, married and had two children but his wife and children had left him. He was buried in the cemetary by the proper authorities.
