The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Tuesday January 10, 1911 Dead In Bed This Morning. Adolph Wheeler Aged 65, Died Suddenly At Table Mound. Had Not Been Feeling Well--Body Brought to This City This Noon--Taken to Michigan for Burial. Adolph WHEELER, a well known resident of Le Hunt, was found dead in bed at that place this forenoon. The body was brought here at noon and prepared for burial. It will probably be taken to Adrian, Michigan, the former home of the deceased for burial. Adolph Wheeler came here about two years ago and became manager of the Alamo Inn. He was a widower. For some days past he had been complaining of indigestion. Yesterday he suffered considerably, but continued around the hotel. Last evening he played cards with friends until about 11 o'clock when he retired. He was in the habit of sleeping lat in the morning and nothing was thought of his failure to appear this morning. About 10 o'clock some alarm was felt and a servant went to his room and found him dead. It is believed death was caused by a complication of heart trouble and indigestion. Deceased was about 65 years of age and was large of stature. He was an uncle of W.W. Wheeler who was formerly superintendent of the Table Mound cement plant but who now lives in Iola.
