The Holton Signal Jackson County Thursday November 2, 1922 Miss Mae SMITH of Stewartsville, Mo., and Alfred SPENCER of St. Joseph, Mo., the oldest son of Mr.a nd Mrs. W.L. Spencer, were married in Holton, October 30th. Probate Judge Clark officiating. A few relatives and friends were present. A bountiful dinner was served at the home here of the grooms parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Spencer. They also gave a shower for the bride at the home of her aunt, Mrs. CAMPBELL in Stewartsville, Mo. She received many beautiful and useful presents. The bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John SMITH and Mr. BALLARD of Stewartsville, Mo., and the groom's brother, Ralph SPENCER of St. Joseph, who were here attending the wedding, returned home Tuesday mornign. The happy couple will return to their home in Alfred's new Mitchell car some time this week. We wish them all kinds of happiness.
