The Washington Register Washington County Thursday April 7, 1904 Married at the home of the brides' parents, March 30, by Rev. Life, William Nelson COMBS and Miss Bertha JOHNSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Johnson. At the appointed time, eight p.m., the contracting parties marched into the parlor and the marriage vows were solemnized in the presence of about forty-six guests. The bride wore a beautiful gown of white silk. After the congratulations the guests ushered into the dining room where an elegant supper awaited them. Many beautiful and useful gifts were received. Only a few of the most intimate friends were invited.
