    1. [KS-OLD-NEWSPAPERS] Death: Wm. Wesley BRITTAIN
    2. Jim Laird
    3. The Valley Falls New Era Jefferson County Thursday September 30, 1909 Wm. Wesley, seventh child of Wm. N. and Rachel L. BRITTAIN, was born at Lamont, Pettus county, Missouri, March 15th, 1878 and died at his home near Valley Falls, Sept. 22, 1909, aged 31 years, 6 months and 7 days. He was married to Miss Mary PUCKETT, May 2, 1901. He leaves a widow, an adopted daughter, an aged mother, two sisters, and one brother to mourn his departure but goes on to join a father, one brother and three sisters where no sorrow or death ever comes. He was converted at the Boyle tent meetings in 1905 and joined the M.E. church at Dunavant, but later transferred his membership to Valley Falls. All through his sickness he never complained, was always cheerful, and told his relatives if his time had come he was ready and willing to go, as he feared no evil. And when death came he met it without fear. And while we mourn for him we know that our loss is his eternal gain and we shall soon join him never to part again. Card of Thanks. We desire to convey our heartfelt thanks to the friends who so kindly assisted us through the recent sickness and death of our husband, son and brother. Mrs. Mary E. Brittainn, Mrs. Rachel L. Brittain, Mrs. Lydia O. Fisher, Mrs. R.M. Walker, J.W. Brittain and family.
