The Harper Advocate Harper County Thursday November 1, 1928 Another Auto Wreck Sunday Afternoon. Allen PALMER and Walter POINTER were the victims of an auto smashup which occurred in front of the Palmer home last Sunday afternoon. Mr. Palmer and Mr. Pointer were coming out of the driveway onto the highway Sunday afternoon when they saw a car coming from the south. Thinking to let the approaching car pass they stopped. The approaching car, driven by a man from Oklahoma saw the car, but on account of the mist and rain said he thought the car was moving and attempted to pass back of it, and hit is broadside. Mr. Palmer was serverely cut about the face and neck and Mr. Pointer received several injuries.
