The Oskaloosa Independent Jefferson County Saturday June 10, 1876 Married.--On Thursday, June 8th, at 8:30 o'clock, p.m., at the residence of the bride's parents, by Dr. W.R. Davis, P.E., Mr. W.D. LANE, of Hays City, Ks., and Miss Julia F. ROBERTS, daughter of J.W. Roberts, Esq., of this place. A goodly number of kind friends assembled upon the above occasion and if the many heartfelt good wishes and words of cheer avail anything, Mr. and Mrs. Lane will undoubtedly have a prosperous and happy life. So may it be! The attendants were, Miss Lena Ralston, of Leavenworth, and F.H. Roberts, Miss Clara Briner, of Oskaloosa, and Mr. A.D. Gilkeson of Hays. Dr. Davis, who performed the ceremony did a like service for the parents of the bride nearly twenty-six years ago.
