    3. The Wasington Republican-Register Washington County Friday September 29, 1905 Shot Him Three Times. Eric Bloomberg Settles a Dispute in Regard to Some Hay. Washington County is apt to have another trial on its hands for murder. It all depends whether or not the shots which Eric BLOOMBERG is alleged to have taken at Joseph BOLEJACK result in death. Last week on Wednesday Mr. Bolejack cut some tall grass along the road because the children were complaining about it on their way to school. He had it piled up and the next day when he went to haul it in he found that one load had already disappeared and that a neighbor, Eric Bloomberg was there with his wagon loading on another. Bolejack says that he ordered him to leave the hay alone as he had cut it himself for his own use, and that Bloomberg not only refused to pay any attention to his request, but that he called him an unprintable name and pulled out a revolver and fired at him. One shot took effect in the thigh, another in the arm and one somewhere near the shoulder. Mrs. Bolejack arrived on the scene at this time and Bloomberg put up his weapon. The family of Mr. Bloomberg were also on a hay rack near by. Mr. Bloomberg in now lying in jail awaiting trial. In may go hard on him unless Mr. Bolejack recovers. At last reports he was lying very low. This shooting is probably the result of a feud that has prevailed in this neighborhood for quite a number of years. Mr. Bloomberg has had a case of some kind in court against some of his neighbors for the last four or five terms.
