Schmidt, died Thursday at the home of his grandparents, 1816 Lane street. The funeral will be held from Penwell's chapel at 3:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. The body will be taken to Valley Falls for burial. Glenn GARRISON, died August 28, at his residence, 609 Chandler. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Penwell's chapel. Burial in Mt. Auburn Cemtery. Albert PAINTER, of 2300 Buchanan street, died this afternoon at a local hospital. Funeral announcements later. Thomas WILLIAMS, age 85, died August 29, at his home, 1174 Lincoln street. Burial in Mt. Auburn cemetery.

Dalrymple. Mrs. Dalrymple was formerly Miss Nellie WATSON, the oldest daugther of Wallie Watson. Much sympathy is extended the young parents in their sad bereavement of their first baby.

Mr. Ira MISNER of Rockford, Illinois, was united in marriage at Topeka, to Miss Josie SMITH of that place, on Christmas day, December 25th. After their marriage the bride and groom came to Colby to visit a few days with the groom's brother and sistes, Mr. Joy Misner, Mrs. Dora JASPERSON and family. They left last Thursday morning for Selden where they will visit a short time with Mrs. Misner's father, thence to Topeka to visit relatives there, and then to their home in Rockford, Illinois, where Mr. Misner has a good position awaiting him. The Free Press joins with the relatives and friends in wishing them happiness and contentment.

Winnie Myrtle SWANSON, was born August 5th, 1889 in Thomas county, Kansas and died December 11 at her home in Thomas county, Kansas, aged 26 years, 4 months and 6 days. She was united in marriage to Herman DONN, November 26, 1914. She was sick only a short time. Winnie was a kind and good woman and always had a smile for everybody. With her death the community loses a dear friend and a noble woman. The husband loses a true and faithful wife and companion. But we will trust to the Lord for he doeth all things well and knoweth best. Card of Thanks. We hereby wish to express our thanks for the kind friends and neighbors who so kindly helped us in the sickness and death of our dear wife, daughter, and sister. We also thank them for the many flowers that were given. Relatives of deceased.
The Centerville Courier Linn County Thursday February 16, 1905 Higginbottom--Cook. Perhaps as pretty a home wedding as has occured this season transpired at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Zach HIGGINGBOTTOM, northwest of Centerville on St. Valentine's day. The contracting parties were Miss Bessie HIGGINBOTTOM, their eldest daughter and Mr. A.W. COOK of Parker. The marriage ceremony was performed in the family parlor, where in the presence of immediate members of the family and a few invited guests, Rev. McAdams, of Centerville pronounced the words which made them man and wife. The bridal couple was very appropriately attired for the occasion, the bride being costumed in a wedding gown of silver grey, in which she looked very becoming. The groom in keeping with the established costume, wore a suit of the conventional black. At the conclusion of the pretty ceremony, congratulations were in order after which the wedding party retired to the dining room where a luxurious wedding feast was served. At the conclusion of this a social chat was enjoyed, following by the guests repairing to their several homes. The young couple is exceedingly well known. Mrs. Cook being the highly accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Zack Higginbottom and whose friends are numerous. Mr. Cook is the accomadating book-keeper and assistant cashier of the Centerville State Bank, and he too has numerous friends. The young couple are highly respected; they start out on the journey of life with a happy beginning and their many friends wish them a safe and prosperous voyage. The young couple took up their residence in Centerville on Wednesday in the Will Vinton residence where they will be at home to their many friends. The Courier joins with all in welcoming them to Centerville.

The Colby Free Press Thomas County Thursday December 16,1915 The death of Mrs. Jennette C. TREAT occured Monday, December 13, 1915. Janette C. BRADLEY was born June 19, 1839, in Ohio. In early childhood she removed with her parents to Turtle Rock Co., Wisconsin. At the age of eleven years she became converted and became a member of the Baptist church to which she was still a devoted member at the time of her death. On October 21, 1860, she was united in marriage to Wm. M. TREAT in Turtle Rock Co., Wisconsin. To this union were born seven children. Five of whom survive to mourn the loss of a loving mother. Edward B. and Carroll N. of Dmphan, Nebraska, Eben H. of Gem, Kansas, Ethel A. DOMINY of Ludell, Kansas and Mabel L. EATON of Torrington, Wyo. The husband and father left his earthly career February 4,1900. Sister Treat was 76 years, 5 months, and 23 days of age at the time of her demise.

Funeral services were held at Green Valley Church Tuesday, Dec. 18, 1923, at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. C.V. Lawrence. Interment in Wells cemetery.
The Osawatomie Graphic Miami County December 20, 1923 Death of W.M. Speck. W.M. SPECK, who was here visiting his son, L.B. Speck, from Dewey, Oklahoma, died Sunday Saturday evening of heart trouble. L.B. Speck and son, Glenn, accompanied the body to Dewey Sunday for burial.
