    3. The Harper Advocate Harper County Thursday April 13, 1922 Godfrey--Graves. The announcement of the marriage of Miss Sue GODFREY of Alton, Ills., and Mrs. Harlan GRAVES of this city, which occurred at Alton, Ills., on March 19, was received by Mr. Graves' parents this week. Mrs. Graves is an executive officer in the Field Office of the Y.W.C.A. and while she is unknown here, we venture to say that she is a charming young lady and will make an excellent helpmate for Harlan. Harlan is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Graves, and needs no introduction to his many friends in Harper. He is at present at Vocational student at Washington University at St. Louis, where he is taking a course in Commerce and Finance.

    3. The Washington Republican-Register Washington County Friday December 29, 1905 Pascal--Throop. On Sunday, Dec. 24th, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Pascal, at Enosdale, Kans., occurred the marriage of their daughter, Edith M., to Harlin W. THROOP, Rev. S. A. Fitzsimmons officiating. The bride and groom took their places in the parlor and at 3 o'clock the words were spoken which made two lives one. The bride and groom are both well known and respected, Mr. Throop a prosperous young farmer and Mrs. Throop a well known school teacher. The bride was beautifully dressed in waite silk and the groom wore the conventional black. The groom had thoughtfully prepared a home for himself and wife where they immediately went. The best wishes of the entire vicinity are with them.

    3. The Harper Advocate Harper County Thursday March 16, 1922 A Sad Accident. Last Friday while the 19 months old son of Mr. and Mrs. D.A. CATES was playing, hammering a piece of china with a small hammer, a small particle of the glass flew up and struck the little fellow and lodged in the eye. The particle of glass was removed by Dr. Gaume, but the eye was inflamed to the extent that it was found necessary to take the child to Wichita to the hospital. Here he was put under the influence of ether, and an operation was attemtped too save the eye, but the inflamed condition was so bad, the operation was unsuccessful. Pneumonia, from the effects of the ether, was contracted and the child died Monday morning. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the College Chapel by Rev. Armstrong and interment was made in the Acacia cemetery. Card of Thanks. We wish at this time to extend our most heartfelt thanks for our friends and neighbors for their kindly assistance and many words of sympathy during the sickness and death our death son and brother. Mr. and Mrs. D.A. Cates, mother and family.

    3. The Harper Advocate Harper County Thursday March 16, 1922 Mrs. S.B. Plank Dies. Mrs. S.B. PLANK died at her home east of Harper, on Tuesday, March 14, after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Plank was 49 years, 7 months and 18 days old. Funeral services were held at the Pleasant Valley church, Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. Rev. R. M. Weaver, officiating. Interment was made in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Noah Asher tying the nupital knot, after which Mr. Campbell and his bride left on the northward mail train for a short wedding tour.     3. The La Cygne Weekly Journal. Linn County Saturday February 15, 1879 The wife of Mr. Z. ARBOGAST, died at her home in this township Thursday morning, of diphtheria, after a short illness. Mr. Arbogast has the sympathy of the community in his sad affliction. He and his young wife, whom death has now parted from the husband, were married but a few months ago. February 22, 1879, Saturday. Died. ARBOGAST.--At her home in Lincoln township, Linn county, Kansas, February 13, 1879, Nancy, wife of Z. Arbogast, in the 18th years of her age. The deceased leaves a husband, three sisters, and a large circle of friends to mourn her loss.

At the home of Robert PRUITT, ten miles west of Washington, Dec. 20, 1905, at high noon, a very beautiful wedding took place. Their daughter Nellie and George McCALL were united in the hold bonds of wedlock, by Elder Albert L. Young, in the presence of a large company of relatives and friends. After the ceremony was performed they were all invited to the dining room where a bountiful dinner was awaiting them. Many beautiful and useful presents were presented. These young people are well and favorably known and they have the good wishes as they journey together.

    3. The Washington Republican-Register Washington County Friday December 22, 1905 Died, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George H. THIELE, on Saturday morning, Dec. 16, 1905, Mrs. Persida BAUMBERGER, widow of John B. Baumberger. Mrs. Baumberger was born in Berks County, Pennsylvania, in 1832 and was married to Mr. Baumberger in 1860, who died in 1892. During the last few years Mrs. Baumberger lived with her daughter, Mrs. Thiele, and had every comfort that their home could give. She was a beloved member of the Presbyterian church and lived a consistant happy Christian life. The funeral was held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thiele on Monday afternoon.

He was much loved by all who knew him and his loss wil be deeply felt in the community where it has spread a deep gloom. The parents and other relatives have the most hearty sympathy of a host of friends. The funeral services were conducted at Bell school house Dec. 15, by Rev. Utterback.
