The Washington Republican-Register Washington County Friday June 22, 1906 Captain TOBEY received a telegram Friday telling of the death of Fred COUNCE who used to be bookkeeper in Stackpole and Tobey's bank. Mr. Counce left here with his family a few years ago and located at New Orleans where he resided at the time of his death. He leaves a wife and two grown sons to mourn for hime, and who have the sympathy of a large concourse of friends in this city.

    3. The La Cygne Weekly Journal Linn County Saturday May 15, 1880 George MILLER, aged about 24 years, died Monday, in this township, from an affection of the liver. His remains were buried in the Spangler graveyard. The deceased was a son of William MILLER. He leaves a wife and two children.

    3. The Harper Advocate Harper County Thursday September 6, 1928 Patterson--Wright. On Monday, Sept. 10th at Cherokee, Okla., a wedding of much surprise and interest to their many friends here was performed at that city when Miss Doris PATTERSON, became the bride of Mr. Robert WRIGHT, also of this city. Mrs. Wright is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold PATTERSON of this city and her friends are numbered by her many acquaintances. She attended and graduated from the Harper schools with the class of '28. She is a charming lady, with more than pleasing personality and is held in high esteem by the younger set. Mr. Wright is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wright, who until a few weeks ago resided here where he also has made a host of freinds. Mr. Wright graduated from the Harper school in 1927 and while attending school here was considered one of the school's best students. His winning personality will make a way for him in the future before him. The happy couple left immediately for Norman, Okla., where they will make their future home. They have the hearty congratulations of their friends.

    3. The Harper Advocate Harper County Thursday September 6, 1928 After a long and lingering illness, Mrs. Samantha MARTIN passed away at the home of her son, Fred in Anthony, August 27th. Funeral services were held at the Christian church Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C.A. Murray, her former pastor. Besides her husband, Aaron Martin, she is survived by five sons and two daughters.

The funeral was conducted from the Christian church at two o'clock Saturday by Rev. Hageman. He leaves a wife and five children to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father.

    3. The Valley Falls New Era Jefferson County Thursday August 25, 1910 Died. Laverne, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. KNOWLES, died Thursday evening, Aug. 18, 1910, aged 14 months and 5 days, of eczema. The funeral was held from the parental home in Valley Falls Friday afternoon, Rev. Beauchamp officiating at the services. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. The parents have the sympathy of many friends in their bereavement. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Card of Thanks. We desire herein to sincerely thank our friends and neighbors for their kindness and sympathy during the illness and in the death of our dear little daughter, Laverne. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Knowles.

At Atchison Thursday they were give a twelve course dinner by the members of the Hayd Construction Co., with which his father, W.E. VanLiew is connected. From Friday unti lMonday they visited the parental home at Valley Falls, receiving congratulations. For the present they will live at Atchison. Best wishes to them.

    3. The Valley Falls New Era Jefferson County Thursday August 18, 1910 Wedding Bells. Wilson--Dornblaser. At the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas B. WILSON, at Whiting, Kansas, Wednesday, August 17, 1910, at 7:30 p.m. the marriage of Miss Carrye Estelle WILSON and Franklin E. DORNBLASER of Valley Falls was witnessed by a large company of friends and members of the family. Rev. Whittlesy pastor of the M.E. church there, performed the ceremony. Among those present from abroad were the parents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Dornblaser, and sister, Mella of Valley Falls; and his brother, Samuel P. Dornblaser and wife of Kansas City, Mo., the McCLENNYS and BECKERS of Dunavant. After congratulations and the marriage supper the bride and groom left on the Rock Island for a two weeks honey moon in Colorado. Both young people were born in Jefferson county, the bride at Dunavant and the groom at Valley Falls and the well and favorably known couple have the best wishes of many friends for their future. THey will be at home to their friends at Valley Falls on south Oak street after September 1st., where a cosy cottage is prepared for them.

The Valley Falls New Era Jefferson County Thursday August 11, 1910 Margaret REICHART nee ABBUEHL was born at Guttanan, Oberhaselle, Canton Bern, Switzerland, Feb. 26, 1839 and died near Valley Falls, Kans., Aug. 6, 1910, aged 71 years, 5 months and 20 days. In 1852 she came to America with her parents, and lived in Madison County Illinois, until 1855, when they moved to Valley Falls, Kansas. In 1860 she was married to Fred Reichart who preceded here to the better world six years ago. Sister Reichart was converted some 30 years ago and united with the Coal Creek Evangelical Church and was faithful member until death. Now she is gone but her works do follow her. She leaves seven sons and one daughter to mourn her loss besides many other relatives and friends. The funeral services were conducted by the pastor of the Evangelical Church at Coal Creek, Sunday afternnoon August 7, 1910, in the presence of a large congregation, and the remains were laid to rest in the Coal Creek cemetery.

    3. The Washington Republican-Register Washington County Friday June 8, 1906 King-Heck. Miss Uel HECK and Mr. Fred KING of this city were married Wednesday, June 6th, at 10:30 a.m. at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Arvil WILSON, at Baileyville. An elaborate dinner was served after which the happy pair left for Washington where they are already at housekeeping. On Wednesday evening th eband, of which Mr. King is a member, gave them a serenade. The bride's mother served them generously with ice cream and cake. Mrs. King used to clerk in the Oberndorfer & Kleeman store where Mr. King is working now. We extend the best wishes of numerous friends for their welfare and happiness.

    3. The Washington Republican-Register Washington County Friday June 8, 1906 Lee--Moore. Mr. Luther L. LEE of Pond Creek, Okla., was married Sunday evening, June 3rd, to Miss Zella MOORE, of Enid, Okla. The wedding was solemnized at five o'clock at the United Brethren church, and the young people left the same evening for Washington to spend a week with Mr. Lee's parents. Mr. Lee is a former Washington young man, having lived here until several years ago, when he went to Pond Creek and engaged in the furniture business where he is doing a flourishing business in that line. Mrs. Lee is not known here, she was a teacher in the schools at Enid, Okla., but fromthe selection she made for a life companion, we judge her to be a woman of good judgement. The Republican-Register extends congratulations to this worthy couple.

    3. The Washington Republican-Register Washington County Friday June 8, 1906 Mrs. Frank. Mrs. Mary FRANK, died Sunday, June 3rd, at Greenleaf, Kansas, aged 62 years, 2 months and 28 days. The funeral was held at Greenleaf Tuesday, at the English Lutheran church at 2 o'clock p.m. and the burial took place at the Mt. James cemetery near Greenleaf. Mrs. Frank had been in poor health for some time and on decoration day was taken very sick and only lingered a few days. She was a woman who possessed a beautiful character and was loved by all who knew here. She was the widow of William Frank who died years ago. At one time the Frank family lived in this city, and the remaining members of the family are well known in this community. Mrs. Frank was the mother of four children, one dying in infancy. The surviving children are William Frank and Mrs. STINE who live at Atchison and Mrs. Matt THINNES of Greenleaf.

    3. The Washington Republican-Register Washington County Friday June 8, 1906 Frankie McCLEARY, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J.F. McCLEARY passed away to rest May 30th, after a lingering illness of four months, aged 3 years, 10 months and 4 days. Rev. Fitzsimmons conducted the funeral services which were held at the home, after which the little white casket which contained all that remained of the attractive and loving child was taken to Reiter cemetery where kind ones had made the last resting place beautiful to receive that which we longed to keep and could not retain, and the mound of earth was left a mound of flowers which in life he loved so well. He is gone and his suffering is o'er. All that loving parents and fond brothers could do was done, never once relaxing or tiring till God had taken back that which he gave. He leaves father, mother, and two brothers, young men, who deeply mourn the loss of the little one. The family returns thanks to the kind neighbors and friends who assisted them and for the beautiful floral tributes, and to the little children for their kindly remembrances during his long illness.
